Hollywood
Place
Programming/ Schematic Design
Project Details:
A response to a Response to Proposal from the city of Hollywood, Florida, this was one of three development projects to receive a hearing from the city council and the preferred option by the mayor and third-party consultants to the city. Although not ultimately selected due to local political considerations this beachside design converted a city-owned parking lot between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean into a mixed-use development containing a 2,500 space public parking garage, 150,000 SF of beachfront retail, a 300-key luxury hotel, and 176-unit hotel/ condo. I was heavily involved throughout the accelerated three-month design process, from consulting with the developers and attorneys in establishing the scope of the project to managing Arquitectonica team members and outside vendors in drawing and schematic model
production. I also represented Arquitectonica in front of the city and provided detailed project information
at city
council meetings.
