MFAH
Addition
The collection of the Museum of Fine Arts is
expanding beyond its capacity. Disciplines such as photography, sound,
video, and tactile art have outgrown all available space for display
and associated curatorial offices. The addition to the MFAH will be
located directly facing the Mies Van der Rohe addition and adjacent to
the Cullen Sculpture Garden by Isamu Noguchi. The current site of the
anticipated addition is a paid parking lot owned by the adjacent First
Presbyterian Church and used by both the church and the MFAH. When the
addition is complete, visitors who arrive by car will use the MFAH
parking garage one block southeast and will arrive at the MFAH addition
on foot.
